Join us at 3:00 PM on March 14 for a tour of the new Pennsylvania State Archives on North Sixth Street in Harrisburg, which opened to the public in 2023. A long time coming to fruition, this facility was designed by HGA and Vitetta, and built by Mascaro Construction (at the same time as the nearby new Federal Courthouse). Following the tour, we will migrate by 5:00 PM to the Appalachian Brewing Company (ABC) on North Cameron Street for downtime and dining. Attendees must register for the tour and/or dinner – see registration information below.
This tour program will be submitted to AIA CES for continuing education credit. Continuing education certificates will be available to all attendees upon request.
Free parking is available. For the Archives, in addition to parking on North 6th Street in front of the building, there is a gated lot (also free) next to the southeast corner of the building if you turn off N. 6th or N. 7th street onto Harris Street and then, mid-block, into Wallace Street. The gate opens automatically, and a pass code to exit the lot will be made available inside the building. For ABC, there is a large lot behind ABC at the corner of Walnut & North 10th Street.
Registration Info: The tour is free. Dinner is $30. Register for one, or the other, or both components of this event at www.cpc-csi.com. There are no standing dinner reservations. Please register no later than Wednesday, 3:00 PM, March 13. We look forward to seeing you there! More details on dinner arrangements may be issued in a later update.
