Gordner\,  Senate Majority Whip\, was first elected to the state Senate in a special election in November 2003. He was re-elected in 2004\, 2008\, 2012 and 2016 to represent the 27th Senatorial District\, which includes all of Columbia\, Northumberland\, Montour and Snyder counties and parts of Luzerne County.\n\nThe Senator currently sits on the following committees:\n\n\nConsumer Protection & Professional Licensure\nJudiciary\nRules & Executive Nominations \, Vice Chair\nTransportation\n\nState Senator Jay Costa\n\nState Senator Jay Costa\, Senate Minority Floor Leader\, was elected in a special election in April 1996.
