DESCRIPTION:November 14\, 2023\nNicks 114 Cafe\, 114 Bridge Street\, New Cumberland\, PA  17070\nSchedule:\n5 – 6 pm      Board Meeting\n6 – 6:30 pm    Social Networking\n6:30 – 7:30 pm    Buffet Dinner\n7:30 – 8:30pm     Virtual Program \nREGISTER NOW \nThis one-hour course will cover Electronic Leak Detection (ELD) testing methods used for quality assurance of roofing and waterproofing membranes. Participants will learn about the principles outlined in the ASTM Standard Guide D7877 and ASTM Standard Practice D8231 and will be able to identify which assemblies are compatible with electronic testing and active monitoring. \nLearning Objectives: \n\nRecognize the differences between the four electronic testing methods for roofing and waterproofing membranes.\nUnderstand the capabilities and limitations of electronic leak detection (ELD) as outlined in ASTM Guide D7877 & ASTM Practice D8231.\nIdentify potential future design and construction failures based on analyzed data from real time construction monitoring.\nDistinguish different applications for fully monitored embedded leak detection systems and how they function.\n\nShaun will be presenting to us live\, from the State of Washington\, via Zoom\, which we will display on the large screen TV in the room where we meet at Nicks114Cafe. \nThis program\, designed for architects\, specifiers\, facility managers\, building owners\, contractors\, and installers\, is an educational session registered with AIA CES for 1 LU/HSW and IIBEC for 1 CEH. Continuing education certificates will be available upon request. \nPresenter Information: Shaun Katz is a member of CSI and has been Business Development Manager since 2016 for Detec Systems\, specializing in ELD technologies. \nDinner reservations at $30 per person are required for all attending.
