DESCRIPTION:  \n\nAIA Central PA is proud to bring you volume three of the MADE IN PA SERIES. MADE IN PA is a series of tours through Central PA facilities that produce building products that we in the construction industry specify daily-giving you a behind the scenes look at the manufacturing process. If you have an idea for a plant or factory tour please email Kelsey Leed at kleed@cra-architects.com. Registration is open below. \n\nAbout \nThe event will include a presentation and a tour at High Steel in Lancaster. The presentation will describe: \n\nWho High Steel and the High Companies are\, with a brief history\nHigh Steel’s manufacturing process of steel structural elements\, particularly bridges\, with emphasis on fabrication technologies and constraints associated with achieving project schedules\nFollowing the presentation\, there will be a tour of High Steel’s manufacturing facilities. Attendees will observe the processes of receipt and preparation of material; cutting\, welding\, assembly\, drilling and painting of structural members; and fit verification.
